Mr. Li Lemin, one of the academicians  from  Chinese Academy of Engineering, paid a visit to CCTF on May 11^th, for a symposium on how to promote the establishment of Academicians & Experts Workstations in Quanzhou. His visitation, which was  also a part of “Academicians & Experts’ trip to HaiXi”, is accompanied by leaders of Quanzhou city. Their joint efforts in this matter will be beneficial not only to the further implementation of provincial “talents-oriented” development strategy, but also to the acceleration of economy development mode transformation.  

On 12^th May, the launching ceremony of Academicians & Experts Workstation was held in Xianchuang Industrial Park, marking a start of the cooperation between Academician Li Lemin and People’s Government of District Fengze. Prof. Li Guangjun from the University of Electronic Science and Technology, Deputy Chairman Zhao bangsheng from Provincial Science and Technology Association, city administrator Lin Wu, Lin Boqian and many other main leaders of District Fengze committee and government also attended the launching ceremony.

Mr. Dai Guoliang, the chairman of CCTF, gave a speech in the ceremony. He promised, that with the support from respectful leaders at all levels, and with the guidance of Academician Li, CCTF people will steadily push forward the operation of Academicians & Experts Workstation, which needs free minds, explorer spirit, truth, and activeness. He also added, CCTF clearly understood that the work was a mission, which will not only help the enterprises to enhance their independent R&D ability, but also assist in applying scientific findings to the entire communication industry of Fujian Province.

Subsequently, Chairman Dai and Academician Li signed on the Cooperation Agreement of Academicians & Experts Workstation. A letter of appointment was also handed to Academician Li, titling him as the “Senior Consultant” of the workstation. In the end, In the presence of hundreds of distinguished guests, Chairman Dai, along with Academician Li and all the main leaders, revealed the name board of “Academicians & Experts Workstation”, announcing the formal launch of the first one of its kind in Quanzhou city.  

The founding of the Academicians & Experts Workstation will further improve the cooperative mechanism among government, enterprises, colleges and research institutions, offering a platform for resource sharing, technical innovation, technology application and team cooperation. By means of introducing and cultivating capable people with advanced technological knowledge, the Workstation will further enhance the innovative ability and core competitiveness of local enterprises, which means a lot to the promotion and advancement of Hi-tech industries, especially the Electronic and IT Industry.
